When the lights go out, the store’s malevolent forces come alive, hunting for shoppers who need “assistance.” Players must cut communications to stay silent, hide in vents, and avoid making noise to evade the mall’s traps and aberrations that prey on the mind, threatening sanity and trust among friends. Flashlights provide limited protection, and finding fuses to restore power grants brief safety. The game combines immersive 3D audio and a sanity system that challenges players to maintain control as the mall’s nightmarish atmosphere distorts reality. With randomized item and obstacle placement, multiple difficulty levels, and a progression system unlocking new abilities, Storebound offers a chilling and replayable experience where the final price for survival may be your very soul.
