ASTROBOTANICA™ is a science-driven survival game set on prehistoric Earth, where you play as Xel, an alien botanist stranded after a crash landing. Tasked with discovering rare seeds vital to saving your home planet, you must navigate a hostile environment filled with wild animals, primitive humans, and a toxic atmosphere. Leveraging your advanced botanical knowledge, you will learn to cultivate and process Earth’s unfamiliar flora into essential food and medicine. Success depends on experimentation, adaptation, and research to identify plant species that could thrive on your home world. Meanwhile, securing a stable supply of carbon dioxide is crucial for your survival in this alien environment. In your quest, you’ll encounter curious but timid Neanderthals, with whom you can build trust through communication and healing using hand-crafted plant-based tonics. Gaining their favor may yield valuable tools, supplies, and assistance. Protection is also vital; construct walls, floors, and fences to defend your crops and shelter from natural disasters and hungry wildlife. Explore the richly detailed prehistoric wilderness filled with secrets and diverse flora to study, while staying vigilant against the dangers posed by local fauna. Customize your progression by assigning Knowledge Points across six unique skill paths—Planetary Knowledge, Research, Investigation, Management, Adaptation, and Learning—to shape your gameplay style and master the challenges of this primeval world.
